It may be tiny, but its views are substantial! With a population no more than 2,500, this little town on Scotland’s Isle of Skye is actually the largest.
Since this port is reached by our ship’s tenders, we didn’t have a ton of time to explore, but I can say that Portree‘s charm and hospitality out-shined the gloomy weather. If we had more time I would have loved to hike along the cliffs or even jump on a boat tour around the waterways. We did hang out in a friendly pub though. And of course indulged in some local grub: chips soaked in vinegar and salt. Ugh…so dehydrated after that!
