We rushed down to Atlantic City from Philadelphia, eager to cram as many places (and states) into our trip as possible. We arrived in the early evening with enough time to have a quick walk along the beachside shops and back. We briefly stopped at the Korean War Memorial off the beach walk, which was very well done, highlighting the stories of a select few of New Jersey’s casualties. It was very emotional and I found it had more of an impact on me than its counterpart in DC.
The store-lined beachfront actually reminded me a little bit of Venice Beach, CA, if large casinos also dominated Venice Beach. Sadly some of those casinos appeared a bit run down and others were even closed for good. We decided Caesars Palace was as good a place as any to lose all our money and with that, we headed back, a whole 2 hours of AC under our belts.
