I’m quite a bit late on this, which is rare for me since I’m usually so excited to share my latest adventures.  I’m sorry for that but I’ve been adjusting to staying put for a bit, contrary to the content of this post…

Long story short, my parents, who’ve been living in the UAE for the past three years, have moved back to the great Pacific Northwest so I opted to take a break from the salty air of the sea (not completely – I’ve spent three weeks sailing with Rob up to Alaska) to spend some time with them before they land in an apartment in Seattle.  I’ve been working two land jobs in the meantime and sleeping on an air mattress, but it’s worth it for the quality time we’ve created together.

A few days after they landed at SeaTac, the three of us roadtripped to Eastern Washington to visit old friends, and Southern Oregon to visit my baby bro.  Moses Lake doesn’t have a whole lot happening – a small town centered around a gorgeous lake.  But Medford, Oregon is amazing!  There is so much to do and see, especially for nature lovers.  Nearby Ashland is also a lovely gem with a laid-back organic hippie vibe.  Totally reminds me of my university town, Bellingham.

Anyway, here are a few photos from that trip, totalling in almost 24 hours of driving!COLUMBIA RIVER VIEWPOINTBARN SHINE TRACKS SQUASHED CARS FOR TRANSPORT WASHINGTON WINDMILLSVIEWPOINT SILHOUETTE VIEW FROM THE TOPWEEDSTABLEROCK ROCKS TABLEROCK FROM BELOW
