The crisp air, the endless whale sightings, the friendly people – I’ll always love it! I don’t love the numerous fur shops though. I find those disturbing…(can’t we just admire the beautiful animals while they’re alive rather than having parts of their bodies drooped over us?).
Anyway, I’ve seen the same three ports of Sitka, Ketchikan, and Juneau over and over again. And they’re gorgeous! But this time I got to see a bit more and I loved it.
Thanks. Lovely photos. I did an Alaskan road trip many moons ago .. Lots of memories flooding back! Regards from Thom at the immortal jukebox.

Thinking of going on an Alaskan cruise. Is there one you would recommend?

The ones out of Vancouver generally have more time in port than the ones out of Seattle. Sitka, Juneau, and Ketchikan have a bit more to do in them than the ports further north.
Good luck finding one, it’s worth it!
