I know that sometimes I may try a bit too hard to come up with witty post titles, but I actually stand wholeheartedly behind this claim. I didn’t expect much out of this port at first, in fact my only real goal was to meet up with my wonderful parents who flew from Abu Dhabi to see us (thankfully we were docked over night).
What we experienced, though was amazing. We rode out to meet them at their hotel where we waded at the beach through the warm sandy water. Beautiful green trees, gardens, and hedges, decorate the hills and parks. The Muttrah Souq is bustling with local spices, crafts, and materials, as well as souvenirs. Rocky mountains surround the town and its aqua blue waters, some with forts peeking out from above.
I felt very safe in this town and I look forward to a day when I can return with more time to explore further!
Your pictures are great! I’m in love with the pottery photo.
