This town is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It has definitely, without a doubt worked its way into my top favorite places. Valletta, the capital of Malta has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the past thirty years, and with good reason. Some of the buildings date back to the 1500s. As we wound our way through the streets, warm sunlight poured into every alley, bringing out the orange and yellow building tones. Although most of my photos highlight older portions of the city, which I found most stunning, there are also very modern areas for shopping and dining. Around every corner I found beauty. It was even used for the Jerusalem portion of ‘World War Z,’ as a kind local excitedly pointed out. Other parts of Malta have been seen in ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘The DaVinci Code,’ and ‘Captain Phillips.’ There’s a reason Hollywood keeps scouting it out!

wow, this much more wonderful that Penang, another UNESCO World Heritage Site that i just visited couple days ago 🙂

Thanks! I really enjoyed it there!
Do you have any suggestions for Penang? I’ll be there for a day next month.

Hi Kay,
actually i was half day at Penang just for transit, but during that time i was enjoying dinner at Chinatown and walking around the UNESCO heritage site especially for hunting the street art around the city. it was like hunted a treasure. But the Heritage site is a small circle, i think we could finish it completely in half day.
I think spend time at dawn in Pangkalan Weld for sunset is quite a nice view 🙂
Ah, i’m sorry i couldn’t give any good information, but i do hope you enjoy Penang more than i enjoyed because if i have another chance to go to Malaysia, I’ll make another stop at Penang for sure :).
